Wayne County Four Star Health Program (WCFS)  is a not for profit community partnership with Wayne  County, Detroit Medical Center, Henry Ford Health System, Oakwood Healthcare Services and St. John Health who's mission is to reduce the number of working uninsured in our community. WCFS offers an affordable business health coverage program and a Student Edition coverage program.   If your business is in Wayne County, has between 2-100 employees where half of them earn $16.00/hr or less and the group has not been offered health coverage for  the past year , you may be eligible.  The program is a third share model where the employer, the employee and Four Star each share  1/3 of the monthly program cost of $192

Obesity Summit News Release


Obesity Task Force Hosts National Expert on Childhood Obesity 
DETROIT - Adam Becker, PhD, MPH, Executive Director, Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children (CLOCC), will be the presiding speaker for the “Childhood Obesity Planning Summit,” scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 1, 9 a.m. to noon, at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s Detroit Tower, 600 East Lafayette, Detroit.  Free parking will be provided in the Blue Cross parking structure.
